Zapeca

Zapecá is a collective Argentine yerba mate initiative associated with Fernando Puzzo and the Somos Red network in Salto Encantado, Misiones. INYM reports raw material from agroecological family farms integrated with the Paraná Forest and participatory certification under Misiones Law VIII No. 68, Resolution 142/2024. In a July 2025 interview with INYM, the initiative traced its beginnings to 2020 and its Argentine market launch to 2025. It described yerba growing under native trees near Salto Encantado and an earlier bulk export to Canada.
