Seleme
Mate Seleme is a Brazilian yerba mate producer founded in Canoinhas, Santa Catarina, in 1918. Its official site identifies Seleme, Seleme e Cia LTDA as the operator, describes bulk green, aged and toasted mate, private blends and exports, and presents Centenária as its own packaged line. Founder Emiliano Abrão Seleme began by exporting roughly milled mate to Argentina. The company recounts how early shipments travelled by steamship to Mafra and then by rail to the port of São Francisco do Sul.
